The PSAT is offered only once a year.
It is usually during the third week of October. There are only 2 days available; Wednesday and Saturday.
Ventura High offers the test on Wednesdays to accommodate the majority of the test takers.
Students who choose to take the test on Saturday can take the test at either Foothill or Buena High.
The cost to take the PSAT at Ventura High is $17.00 but there are fee waivers for student who meet the federal guidelines for free and reduced lunch.
The PSAT can be taken at any grade level but is mainly geared toward Juniors as a prep for the SAT which most students will take beginning in May of their Junior year.
The dates for the 2010 test are October 13 and 16.
Ventura High will use the October 13 date.
