Web Coordinator
Hello. Thanks for your interest in Ventura High School and VenturaHS.com. I'm Dan Nelson (Journalism adviser, Yearbook adviser, and Digital Photography teacher), the web site coordinator. It's a volunary position here at VHS, and I'm happy to provide the service. We try to keep the information up-to-date. Of course, with a school population over 2250 people, that' a huge task. And it's becoming more challenging all the time. You can help by sending in a recommendation. I'll get to it as soon as I can, but it may take a few days or up to a week. And also please remember, I can only post the information I get from the school. As a parent, you may have more information than I do. Thanks again. -dan A Word About the Photos on the Website The photos are provided free of charge. If you want a copy, just click on the photo and download the image. The images are sized for 4 inches by 6 inches, and may be able to be upsized. During the school year, it is almost impossible for me to provide individual photos (just keeping up with the website is difficult). By the end of the school year, there are roughly 40,000 photos available on the site. If you want or need a larger sized copy of the image, please email me (dan.nelson@venturausd.org) and set up a time that you can come in and search for the photo. Allow 2 hours for the search and download. Please come in within 2 months of the event date. We archive the older photos within 60 days. I have been approached by companies offering us a service- if we sell our images to them, they can make the images available to the parents/etc. for $10-$60 per image. However, we're trying to avoid charging for the images. Thanks for your understanding.
